A lonely office clerk opens up a cup noodle and it brought back a nostalgic high school memory.
Early-stage storyboard and colour keys
The colour keys were produced using a combination of warm tone colours, enable to match the nostalgic mood I was trying to create throughout the whole film.
The decision making of the film style
I decided to create 3 different bg styles to illustrate 3 different stages of the story. The super realistic style is to mark the current timeline, aka the office timeline; the watercolor style with the washout edges is to represent the past timeline when he is still a high schooler; and the third and last style is the bright, cartoony style which is used to portray the fantasy world of his own imagination.
